After four years of pain and numbness following two unsuccessful wrist surgeries, Ava came to Dr. Michaeli. He repaired the damaged nerve ends trapped in scar tissue with a cadaver nerve graft, removed a deep ganglion cyst, and protected the nerve. She now has full sensation back and is living and training normally again.
This patient suffered a brachial plexus injury and underwent a series of nerve transfers with Dr. Michaeli to restore movement and function to the arm. He shares his recovery and what the process was like in his own words.
